Billy Dickens has a fascination with snakes and at times he will use the ones he has caught to persuade people to leave him alone or just make them squirm.
Billy decides to visit a father he barely remembers and then embarks on a big adventure. He meets his father's new wife and daughter and learns about his father's real job tracking poachers.
With his dad and new sister Billy helps to track down the poacher. But what if the poacher is tracking them?
This was pretty good. About halfway through I felt it wasn't really going anywhere but the last 1/4 of the book was really good.
