Things haven't been easy since Daisy's brother battled cancer several years ago. She always worries that the cancer will come back, her parents work a lot, and their house is overgrown with vines and looks like a jungle. Their house looks so bad that the neighbors complain and she gets teased about it. In addition, Daisy's best friend is gone to camp for the summer and hasn't been writing. Fortunately, the neighbors niece and nephew are visiting and they all become friends. Daisy feels like her deal with the universe has worked so far - her brother is okay - but can things stay the same or even better?
