Once Upon a Princess
For me this is a major case of the cover not matching the book. The cover looks rather young and honestly pretty fluffy. Yea...not so much.
Fritzi is a princess in a small European country. Her father has recently taken over, her sister is next in line, she just attended her first ball. Life is good.
Then there is a revolution - the people don't feel they need a monarchy, former friends become foes, and Fritzi and her mom and sister flee to Boston. There, Fritzi tries to be normal but hates the thought of her father abdicating. In an attempt to be helpful she starts making short videos to rally the people. Unfortunately her videos lead the opposition right to where they are hiding.
This is where the plot becomes so much more intense than the cover would lead us to believe...kidnapping, threats, danger.
Will Fritzi's father abdicate and what will happen to her family if he does?
It wasn't a bad book but I am not sure I can "sell" it...
