I think I have only read the first book in the series. With as many books as I read I usually do not read the other books in a series because of timelimits and because they usually don't end up on the MSBA list. This is on the CYBILS list and I did finish it.
I did love the book. The voice of Batty and her struggles in the book were quite real and heartfelt. I did think the first half of the book could have been condensed a bit but the second half was excellent. While it could probably stand alone I think the book is far better as part of the series.
