Melody and her dad have been okay - Melody's momdied when she was born but they manage. But when Melody overhears her dad calling someone "Honey" she is determined to figure out who it is.
I think I would have liked the story better if it had been straightforward and told only fromMelody's point of view. Instead we also got Bee-Bees and the dog's point of view and I thought it made things disjointed and the book even seemed to waver between times. A bit confusing.
