This novel in verse was wonderful. Mimi, who is a biracial child in the late 1960s, has moved from Berkley to Vermont. She dreams of being an astronaut and a scientist but her new school is still quite old fashioned. In addition, people have a hard time adjusting to her family. Can she find friends and her place in the world?
Loved this - a great look at the time period and the changing world at the time. Powerful!!
