What a breathtaking and profound tribute to the victims of the Wilhelm Gustloff. I had never heard of this tragedy and I love how Ruta Sepetys was able to bring it to light with such care and tenderness. I had the opportunity to meet Ruta and listen to her speak at a breakfast during ALA Midwinter. Her passion for the research and for the humanity was beautiful to witness. This book is a treasure!!
