Radioactive

When we hear the name Curie we think of Marie and Peirre not Irene.  When we hear of nuclear physics we think of maybe Einstein, the Manhatten Project, and bombs.  But, Irena Curie and Lise Meitner were instrumental in developing the stepping stones to nuclear physics and chemistry.  This book investigates their contributions.

While interesting this book is best suited for students with an interest in the topic already.  Many kids would not just pick this up for pleasure reading.  Very informative.
