2 young pre-teens. One who is bullied somuch and no one listens to him at home and sometimeshe just wants to give in. The other has been battling leukemia her whole life and just wants to live on her own terms. They meet during the summer and find magic, friendship, and understanding.
I really loved this story but it was heavy- especially with the 2 bullies and the abuse. While I loved it I am not sure if it should be in my school library with students only up to 5th grade. Still debating...
