In the future, a devastating fog hovers over the Earth. The survivors have moved above. Chess is a fog diver. He dives down into the ruins to find things to sell. He has friends who pilot and run the salvage raft. But Chess is different. He has an eye that is "foggy" and he is afriad of Kodoc who is responsible for his eye and who wants to control him.
Lots and lots of action, fun, clever, steampunkish ... I loved this book!!
