Freedom's Price
I really enjoyed this story of Eliza Scott the daughter of Dred Scott. While fictionalized, because of a lack of facts surrounding the family's life, it was true to the time period and did incorporate what is known. I learned many things I did not know and was really drawn in. My biggest complaint is that the story ended with the initial court ruling granting them their freedom. I wish it had continued through to the Supreme Court case and even a bit beyond.
