Blue in the Face
Elsbeth is a pretty awful child - spoiled, spirited, greedy. Then one day, in the midst of a temper tantrum, she holds her breath too long and when she comes to she is in a stange land. There she meets Humpty Dumpty, a talking stick, and other characters from well known nursery rhymes. But the rhymes she knows are not real and it is up to her to fulfill a prophecy and overturn a king. Along the way Elsbeth learns about friendship.
I liked the premise. It took me awhile to get into the book and I wasn't overly fond of the ending but overall I enjoyed it.
