Because Wynn is different it is assumed she is a changeling. Her father left her to die but her mother rescued her. Together they lived outside of town. Wynn's brother, Elric, would visit every so often but his work as a shepherd kept him away longer then he liked. When their mother died, their father decided to sell Wynn as a slave. Elric couldn't let that happen so he ran away with Wynn in search of a place where they could live in peace. Wynn had other plans. She wanted to find the Silver Gate that is mentioned in an old folk song and in doing so, also find the Fairy Queen.
This was a nice tale. Wynn and Elric go through a lot of struggles but ultimately find what they are looking for.
