Spirit and her dad live on Bald Island. her dad has the ability to see the future of a person just by holding their key but lately his ability has been waning. Just 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the book Spirit's dog, Sky mysteriously died. Her dog was a baldie - a wild dog found on the island that many of the residents are terrified of. Then Spirit finds Sky's dog tag and suddenly she can see Sky's spirit. Can Spirit and Sky work together to figure out what is killing the baldies and save the islanders from their fears?
This was a decent book - good mystery, interesting interactions between characters, and a good look into fear and prejudice.
