My copy of the book was an ARC and most of the illustrations were missing. This may have impacted my enjoyment of the book.
I liked the premise of the book and the beginning. Warren the 13th is an orphan. His family's hotel has been around since Warren the 1st but it is in danger because Warren's uncle and his aunt are now running it - poorly. His aunt is just interested in finding the mysterious all seeing eye. As the book unfolds we find that the aunt is really a witch and will do anything to find the all seeing eye.
Unfortunately, the reveal of what the all seeing eye was actually was a let down for me and I didn't like the ending.
