Firefly and Cricket have been taught safety rules their whole lives but the most important has always been to stay away from the giants. But they are both adventurous and curious. Firefly wants to fly to the moon, Cricket wants to be a catcher, and both want to meet the little giant, Peter.
This is a quiet story. Peter befriends the firefly and cricket and in doing so starts to come to terms with the loss of his friend Charlie. Then there is Vole who has waited his whole life to sail down the river.
I enjoyed this but...it almost seems too long for the primary audience.
