Joanna is having a tough time lately. Her brother left home to join the Navy, her mother is taking night classes, she if afriad of many things, and now there are scary things going on in Cuba. Set during the Cuban Missle Crisis this book follows Joanna's srtuggles to cope with the fear that the Cuban Missle Crisis broght on. In doing so she learned a lot about herself and how to dependon her family and friends.
This was a nice book. It would be best if teamed up with some nonfiction or books from another point of view for students without much background knowledge.
