I loved the beginning of the book - intrigue, missing parents. assassination attempt. And then...the main character lands on Eridor and the animals start talking to him. I just didn't get it. I slogged through all 240 pages but it was just confusing and weird to me. There were moments where it was okay but ....nope, sorry.
