Weezie just wants to make her mom happy. But her mom is tired, frustrated, and sad and can't seem to stand looking at her daughter who reminds her of the man who walked out on her. Weezie does everything she can to get her mom to love her but always feels that something is missing. After finding a picture of her dad she decides to try and find him. The result is not what she expected and things don't seem much more hopeful at the end but she does realize that she has value and people who love her.
I wish there had been a bit more hope to this book...
