This was a fun story about Alton and his obsession with maps. In his quest to make a new friend Alton shares his secret maps with Quint but then the maps disappear and the mapnapper threatens to reveal the maps to everyone. Can Alton figure out who the mapnapper is and save himself and his classmates from embarrassment?
This was a cute story and I think some of my younger readers would like it. I felt it was odd that it was told from the teacher's point of view first and then shifted. It also built up for awhile and then nothing...the ending was good but there was a chapter or too that kind of drifted along filling up space from October to June.
I did like it but not thinking it will be MSBA nominee worthy.
