So I have seen this book mentioned on a few "best of" lists so I have been trying to get a hold of it. I was pretty excited when I saw it was a free giveaway here at ALA Midwinter and the publisher's booth was one of my first stops. But...I was underwhelmed.
Now, I have said before that graphic novels really aren't my thing anyway so there is that. Then about 1/3 of the book was comprised of hide and seek challenge pages (like I Spy). I actually think my students will probably enjoy it but I am not sure I could recommend it for a spot on the Maine Student Book Award. Clever concept I guess but not my style.
