Contacted to marry into a rival family, Willow has a lot of learning to do about life in the Core. Guided by Reece her military protector whom she alternately loves and hates and a mysterious being named Joshua, Willow struggles to accept her new role.
I enjoyed this quite a bit but dang it was long...and of course, the first in a series. I wish there had been a bit more world building - the wars, etc. And Joshua - more info needed. I guess that is what sequels are for.
