Ghost Walls

This book was an interesting look at a house built in the 1600s and how archeologists from the 1960s on have discovered who lived there and how they lived.  This book really speaks to the power of discovery, primary sources, observation, and a little detective work.  This is really what the Common Core State Standards are trying to get our students to do.

That being said...for my purposes on the MSBA committee and with my work with grade 1 - 5 students at my school library I don;t think this is a good fit.  I liked it well enough but I don't think it will have wide appeal.
