Follows the adventures of a Neanderthal family as they hunt mammoths, make clothes, make tools and weapons, and meet people. Each chapter is interspersed with facts about Neanderthals from "scientists" exploring archeological sites.
I thought the book was fun. In places I felt there were too many facts and not enough story. It must be noted I also read an arc and parts were not finished yet.
