Dekker and his sister Riley have gone to live with their Aunt Primrose while their mother takes classes. What they don't know is that Button Hill is a special area that is a border between Dayside and Nightside. When a being from Nightside, Cobb, kidnaps Riley Dekker has to go over and rescue her. But in doing so he sacrfices a bit of himself. Now he must figure out how to get his heart back and restore the trains in Nightside.
A bit too weird for me and lots of loose ends. I don't always like fantasy like this so maybe it's just me.
