Crossover

Josh and his brother Jordan are both good at basketball, due in part to the legacy of their father who played professional ball before a knee injury.  But Josh's life turns upside down when his brother starts hanging out with a girl instead of him and his father's health is in jeopardy.

Wow, I can see why this book has gotten so much buzz.  I really enjoyed it a lot.  Told in poetic verse there is a great rhythm to it.  This is a powerful book.

That said, there are a few innuendos (not bad, just strongly hinted at) that will probably prevent me from getting this for my 1-5 graders, but will not keep me from recommending it for older readers.
