Evan Quick has always wanted to be a mask. He wants to be a superhero and change the world but he doesn't have any powers. Then one day he meets up with a Hood, Sparticus, and discovers that he all of a sudden has powers. His life is immediately changed. He is taken to the school for sidekicks where he assumes his new identity as Meerkat and the sidekick of Foxman. While there he learns the power of friendship and things aren't always black and white.
I enjoyed this book. Evan was a good character with good growth. The Foxman was a fun character as well. I had a bit of trouble distinguishing some of the other sidekicks. Overall, a good story. The way it ended makes me think there may be a sequel but it ended pretty well.
