Finding Someplace
Reesie Brown is about to tuen 13. She has great friends, a fun brother, and loves to design clothes. But then Katrina hits and she finds herself alone, without her parents. With the help of a neighbor and some friends she survives but the emotional scars leave her just wanting to find someplace.
I really enjoyed the first part of the book but I felt it could have gone farther...more time in New Orleans during and after the hurricane. Then the whole book lurched forward 3 months and the rest fell flat for me. Dare I say the book should have actually been longer to explore the emotions deeper?
