I loved the idea of the sock monkeys made by the great grandmother. I just felt that in this book there were too many unanswered questions. Why did the grandmother want the party and even though she had a stroke at the party it didn't seem like she ever got closure from the whole thing. Her will? Why was Throckmorton and one of the other monkeys the only ones without clothes? What was up with the pin? Why would the great great grandmother give Olivia her own monkey with a ring she might never find? What was up with the return to sender letters? Just some things that bugged me...I wanted to like it and did like quite a bit of it but it seemed incomplete somehow.
