Nick, Danny, and their father have just moved to Colorado Springs after a devastating fire left eh boys without a mother. At the new house Nick decides he wants his room to be in the attic but first he needs to get rid of all the junk up there. During the garage sale he notices that people are weirdly drawn to the items and then he finds out that the items themselves have strange properties - telling the future, bringing things back to life, etc. Not only that but a mysterious group of people, the Accelerati, are very interested in the items and will do anything to get them. As Nick and his new friends learn more about the objects and Tesla's connection the more danger they encounter.
I enjoyed this first book in a series more than I thought I would. There was a nice twist at the end with a character and while there are many unanswered questions it ended in a decent place.
