I love time travel books and this one was quite a lot of fun. 3 kids have been left behind at their private school over Christmas vacation because their parents are just too busy. On an outing to Trenton on Christmas Day they find a macbook and suddenly they are transported to Trenton right before the crossing of the Delaware. Unfortunately they discover George Washington dead. Soon after two of the kids are captured by Hessians. The other boy receives texts from his teacher back in the present and finds out he has a new app on his iPhone that helped them time travel. The problem is he is almost out of power. So of course he goes to Philadelphia to get Ben Franklin to help.
There is of course more to the story. It was fun with a little history, adventure, and time travel. The chapters weren't long and the overall length was good. It will be a series but this book ended in a good spot.
