Searching for Silverheels

Pearl loves telling the story of Silverheels when people come to their cafe.  It is selfless, romantic, and draws attention to their little town.  But when an older woman Josie draws the legend into question, Pearl sets out to prove that the legend is true.  Set during the beginning of the US involvement in WWI there is also conflict with German Americans and the woman's suffrage movement.

I liked this story.  There was a bit of a lag in the middle but the mystery unraveled pretty well and it was a nice historical fiction.  Because historical fiction can be a hard sell I am not sure how it will fare in my library but I feel comfortable giving it a try.
