I thought the writing in this book was so well done but... As I started to read I was instantly gripped by the writing but was also dreading what I could feel coming. With the death of Jules sister Sylvie so early in the book and the knowledge that she had also lost her mother I was overwhelmed by the sadness. I was pulled in by the writing but did not like the overwhelming sadness of it all. I did love how it came together but we have often debated on our MSBA committee about how sad some books are so I am not sure what to do with this...
