I was familiar with the issue of space junk from when I taught "space" to fifth graders and through the movie Gravity. I felt like this was a good introduction for middle school age especially as they may be the ones who either have to figure out a way to solve the problem or live with the consequences. The text itself was concise with good photographs and illustrations. I had some difficulty with the glossy pages and the size of some of the fonts (and even color of the font) in some of the sidebars. Overall a good pick.
