The Best Worst Thing
This book follows Maggie and her struggles with growing up and worrying about everything - the murderer who is on the loose, the boy next door who is getting a gun for his birthday, her dad who is never home, her lack of friends, and the rabbits next door. She feels she needs to repeat things, even things out, and wish in order to prevent bad things from happening.
While it never says so outright it appears that Maggie is OCD or suffers from anxiety. The book itself was interesting and flowed quickly. Not sure how it will appeal to students. I can think of some girls at my school who would like it based on other books they have been checking out. Still thinking about it...
