Okay - first, not thrilled with the cover... Next, with any survival book there are bound to be comparisons to Hatchet. I thought the first part of the book dragged and it wasn't as "real" to me as Hatchet. As the book progressed I felt more engaged. I worry that the length and time it took to get into nit will turn some readers off. There was a lot of grossness. I was wondering what happened to the huge boil on his nose(? can't remember) - how did that all heal? Anyway, it ended up being pretty good and those who like survival stories will probably stick with it.
