Of course Lucia is happy her dad is coming home from Vietnam. But he is coming home without an arm which means he will need a different job. Lucia thinks things can go back to the way they were but they can't - things aren't the same and her dad is struggling with the new way of life. Maybe is Lucia and Milo can find the owner of the helmet, photos, a Purple Heart they found they can find peace in their own journey.
This was a decent book - good friendship and a good exploration into healing.
