Fiona and Finn have just lost their father and are struggling with it. One of their father's former patients calls each week with some of their father's words - words of advice, memories - as a way to comfort them. Both children also start working at an animal shelter. Along the way they find comfort in giving comfort to others.
This is a very gentle quiet book. It grew on me.
