This book was delightful. In poetry it tells the story of 3 women who were scientists. What is special about them is that they were scientists when it was not popular for women to really do anything. Maria Marian studied caterpillars in that late 1600s and early 1700s. Mary Anning learned about fossils in the 1800s. Maria Mitchell studied the stars and discovered a comet also in the 1800s. Well researched and yet the poetry makes the women come alive. Well done.
