I would not normally choose to read a sequel during the Maine Student Book Award season. I prefer to pick books that stand on their own. But this was nominated for CYBILS so I read it. I loved Bo at Ballard Creek and this was a cute enough sequel but I don't feel like it stands alone or is as good as the first.
