The Chosen Prince
I LOVED THIS -
Is that enough of a review ;0
When Alexos is born he goes through a ritual that shows he is destined for greatness and he has been chosen to reunite warring kingdoms due to a long ago dispute and involving Zues and Athene. But life for this champion is not easy. At first he has trouble making friends, he has no mother, his father is distant, then he loses the use of his legs, finds out his father is going to let his younger brother be king instead, and then he is responsible for his brother's disappearance.
After his father is killed Alexos does become king - but how can he be the champion he is supposed to be when he can barely walk and he lives with the guilt of what happed to Teo, his brother.
Meanwhile, Teo is living on an enchanted island with an old man named Claudio and his daughter Aria.
I was engaged throughout the story but even more so once Alexos, Aria, and Teo came together. This was a powerful story of sacrifice and forgiveness and I love how the author brought it all together.
