Colors of the Rain

Everything has been so confusing since the night Paulie's dad died.  Paulie is hurt, angry, worried and it gets worse when he finds out his dad died because of a black man.  Paulie's mom has trouble dealing with everything and soon Paulie and his sister end up living with their Aunt Bee.  But the anger and confusion threaten to overtake him unless he can learn to deal with it.  Can Paulie find the answers he needs and learn to live again?

This was a pretty powerful poetic narrative filled with emotion and healing.  Glad I picked it up.
