This is a companion novel to Making Bombs for Hitler. It isn't necessary to read the other book first.
In this book Luka has managed to escape from a Nazis labor camp and is hiding in the Ukraine from both the Nazis and the Soviets. He joins the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. But can he find Lida whom he left behind at the camp and can he ever find his family.
While interesting I felt like the book failed to deliver on what was advertised. I expected a lot more of the story to focus on his activities in the Resistance and it really didn't.
