Junior High can really be terrible - mean girls, bullies, horrible teachers, and being left behind by your friends. But that is nothing compared to how awful it gets when your father has a stroke and you are the only one there to help. Will he ever get better? Will he be the dad you remember? Can you be okay with it if he isn't the same.
I was not a real fan of the first few chapters but as it got going it became very engaging. Not my favorite book by Sonnenblick but a worthy one.
