The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place
When there are 2 deaths in the first few pages of a book you know you are in for an interesting ride. The headmistress of St. Etheldredas School for girls and her brother die under mysterious circumstances at dinner. Rather than risk being sent home the girls decide to hide the bodies and pretend that nothing has happened. Of course, that doesn't work out so well. They have to fire the hired help, bury the bodies, one girl has to pretend to be Mrs. Plackett and on and on. In addition, there are love interests, mysterious treasure, and quirky characters.
When I started the book I thought right away that it had potential...seriously, death right away but at 368 pages it really seemed to bog down. I liked the premise and even the ending but it took too long to get there.
